Smith is committed to quality, and we’ve built our reputation on long-lasting, high-performing products. All Smith sunglasses, goggles, and helmets are covered for the lifetime of the product to be free from manufacturer's defects, and we will replace defective product at no charge (taxes and shipping not included).
Smith has sole discretion to determine what qualifies as a manufacturer's defect, and only products purchased from an authorized Smith dealer are covered by our lifetime warranty. If your warranty claim is approved, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping and taxes of the replacement product.
Apparel and accessories, including hats and bags and audio equipment, are not covered under the lifetime warranty policy.

How it Works
The warranty process normally takes 1-2 weeks. To start a warranty claim, head over to the Smith Warranty Claim Form. To help make the warranty process go smoothly, you'll need the following:
1. Product name and model
2. The product SKU or UPC number. These identify the specific model, colorway, and size. They can be found on the original packaging or on the product page at smithoptics.com.
3. Photos that clearly show the problem with your product. Check out Warranty Claim Photos for examples.
If your warranty claim is approved, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping replacement product to you.
If your problem does not fall under our warranty policy, Smith may (at our discretion) be able to replace frames, lenses, and other parts for interchangeable models for a fee at our discretion. Scratched or otherwise abused lenses and fixed lenses are not eligible for replacement. For more information, submit a request using the Contact Us form. All fees for replacement depend on the model and parts required.
Helmet Crash Replacement Policy
Accidents happen, and you should not use a helmet that has been involved in a crash. Smith offers 30% off MSRP for crash replacement helmets.
Minimum requirements to qualify for our crash replacement discount
1. Damage must be from an activity related crash or impact.
2. Crash replacement request is within two years of original purchase date with proof of purchase.
3. You are able to present your crashed helmet and details of the incident that caused the damage.
4. You are the original owner of the helmet
5. Cases of helmet abuse are not be eligible for replacement.
Helmet replacements are limited to 1 unit per year. Use the Contact Us form to initiate a helmet crash replacement.
Scope and Duration of the Smith Warranty
The Smith warranty program lasts for the lifetime of your Smith product and covers all parts of your Smith product as related to manufacturing defects or failure. The warranty program does not include a product that is lost, stolen, dropped, sat on, stepped on, run over, shattered, chewed by your pet, or any other damage that is caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence.
Rx - Smith Prescription Eyewear are warranted to the original purchaser for two years from the date of purchase against any manufacturing defects. Nose pads and temples are free as long as the parts are available. We'll repair or replace, at our discretion, any pair of Smith Prescription Eyewear found to be defective exclusive of damage caused by improper or unreasonable use.
Please be advised that the Smith warranty is for authentic Smith Optics products including authentic Smith lenses, frames, and parts without modification of any sort. Any alteration to lenses, frame parts, or nose pads voids all warranties.
Limitation on Damages
For breach of any written or implied warranty on this product, the consumer is limited to damages of repair of the product or replacement with an identical or equivalent style, at the election of Smith Optics. Smith Optics is NOT liable for any other damages, such as special, incidental, or consequential damages, resulting from the use of this product. Note: Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, incidental, or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
